Romeo J. Guilmette, Sr., 85, of Pleasant Street, Attleboro, passed on December 1, 2012 in the Golden Living Center, Garden Place, Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Rodericks) Guilmette and the late Virginia (Bosh) Guilmette.
Romeo was born on June 24, 1927. He served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army during World War II. Romero worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years, retiring from Dorrance Excavating in Norton. He enjoyed spending time with his family camping. Romeo is survived by a son; Romeo J. Guilmette, Jr. of Raynham, a daughter; Vicky Gervais of Attleboro, a step-daughter; Susan Paulin of North Attleboro, three grandchildren; Kristen Golden of Attleboro, Kelly Pendleton of Attleboro, and Christopher Guilmette of Mansfield, and three great grandchildren; Justin Golden, Brittany Golden, and Emily Crawford, all of Attleboro.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro where the Guilmette family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4th from 6-8 PM. Burial will be private.
